If developing an Executable Computer-Based Training (EXE CBT), approval from the Manager, EPRI Training and Learning Design before the project starts is required and it must be developed in a manner that is compatible with the EPRI Learning Management System (LMS).
Notes:
- EXE CBT are comprised of multiple files that are packaged together in a *.zip file that are designed to be downloaded from EPRI.com to run on a computer.
- EXE CBT are no longer used by EPRI as a product type; however, by exception, an executable CBT may be developed and placed on EPRI.com for download.
To develop and publish an Executable CBT application, review the Publishing Articulate Storyline Executable CBT procedural document. Follow the process steps below:
- Training and Learning Design Consultation: Project Manager request a consultation meeting through the Training and Learning Design SharePoint site (URL Internal to EPRI only) for approval and review of the process (e.g., designing, developing and implementing CBTs, etc.).
- Development: Software Developer creates the Executable CBT, meeting all applicable requirements provided in the Publishing Articulate Storyline Executable CBT procedural document.
SQA Submittal & Usability Testing: Project Manager submits the SQA Submittal – Software Acceptance Form (SAF) (Jira Portal Ticket #1) to submit the Executable CBT for SQA Production (Final Acceptance) Testing. Prior to submittal, the Project Manager and/or Software Developer validates the application meets EPRI requirements.
